How does homeopathy work? A homeopathic remedy acts to strengthen and enhance the immune system. The remedy is matched very closely to the symptoms of a person so that the homeopathic remedy stimulates the natural defenses of the body in such a way that the organism will cure itself.

Can you take a homeopathic remedy if you are taking other medicines? It can be done when necessary, but it is not the most ideal situation. The allopathic drugs can greatly minimize the homeopathic remedy's action. Taking allopathic drugs may also interfere with having an acurate assessment of what is going on in the body, as many chemical drugs suppress symptoms.

What are Homeopathic Remedies? They are highly diluted substances made from the natural elements of vegetable, mineral, and animal kingdoms. How safe are Homeopathic Remedies to take? All homeopathic remedies are extremely safe to take. They are not addictive and have no unwanted side effects. Remedies are safe for pregnant women, babies, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. They are also safe for animals and pets, as they respond extremely well to homeopathy.

Are there any side effects of taking homeopathic remedies? Any side effects, or aggravations, that may occur are natural responses your body is making in order to heal itself. When the pathology is deeper, the immune system has usually been greatly taxed and a greater the initial aggravation can occur. With proper prescribing there will be little to no side effects.

How much does Homeopathic treatment cost (as compared to allopathic or chemical drugs)? The comparison is great. Homeopathic treatment costs so much less. The greatest cost will be in the initial consultation, when a few hours is required to take the complete history of the case. The remedy cost is minimal, especially when compared to the cost of prescription chemical drugs. Follow up consultations are usually quite minimal in cost as well.

Is it okay to take two or more different homeopathic remedies at the same time? This is not the most ideal situation, and is usually best avoided. It can cause more confusion to the body as it is healing. It also can complicate the clear picture of what is going on in the body.
